Adjustments can be made to any On Cover Case to add or remove levels of cover, increasing or decreasing the cost of the policy.

  1. To add an Adjustment to a Case, first search for the Case on the Cases page.
  2. Once you have found the Case in the search results, press the View button to be taken to the Case Summary tab on the View Case screen.
  3. On the right hand side you will find a button labelled Adjust. Note: This button will only appear for Cases that are already On Cover.
  4. When you click the button you will be asked to confirm "Click OK to create a PENDING Adjustment".
  5. Click 'OK'.
  6. You will now see the Adjustment Matrix where you can adjust levels of cover.
  7. The new Adjustment record is also now the selected entry in the History drop-down box (top right hand side of the screen).
  8. To change start and end dates for the Adjustment click the Inception or Expiry dates on the right hand side of the screen.
  9. Values are calculated automatically, with some pro-rata values based on the number of days remaining in the policy term, which will update if you change the dates.
  10. Future Annual Premium is clearly shown at the top.
  11. You can keep adjusting the figures, pressing Save Changes to keep a record of the current values BUT your Adjustment will not be set to On Cover until you press the Start Cover button.
  12. If you are happy with the Adjustment and want to go On Cover, press Start Cover. If you wish to discard the Adjustment record forever, press Discard MTA.

Important Notes:

  • If, using the Document Editor, you have previously set any documents to Auto-Generate when Cases go On Cover, you will be asked to generate them when you press the Start Cover button.
  • If you want to generate special documents only for Adjustments (i.e. not for all Cases when they go On Cover), in the Document Editor you should set the Auto Generation options to read "When type is 'Adjustment'" and "Status 'On Cover'".
